Description
From the 19th Century, this wreath pin is a mix of textured and smooth 14kt gold, in an elaborate and ornate undulating pattern interspersed with enamel flowers and seed pearls. It measures 2.5 cm/1 inch in diameter and has a muted, delicate effect.
Please look at the first photograph. On the left side you can see that two of the enamel flowers are no longer in evidence and I’m afraid they cannot be replaced. These issues do not detract from the overall loveliness of the brooch due to the size and position of the defects. The piece is in very good antique condition, with very minimal wear/tarnish and a patina commensurate with age. The item has been gently cleaned and all other decorations have been checked for stability.
